Known for his innovative ideas and leadership qualities, Boucher’s contributions to the construction sector have left an indelible mark.
Early Life and Education
Born on May 27, 1960, in St-Jean-Sur-Richelieu, Quebec, Pierre Boucher embarked on a journey of education that shaped his future. He left his hometown to attend the University of Ottawa, where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts in 1984 followed by a Master’s Degree in International Development and Cooperation in 1986. His time at university not only laid the foundation for his career but also instilled in him a deep understanding of global issues and human development.
A Career in Construction
Boucher’s professional journey began at the Canadian Construction Association (CCA), where he quickly made a name for himself. Rising through the ranks, he eventually became the Chief Operating Officer. His career did not stop there; he later held the position of CEO at the Canadian Printing Industries Association and served as the president of Canadian Construction Innovations. From 2017 to 2020, he was the CEO of the Mechanical Contractors Association of Canada (MCAC), a role in which he worked tirelessly to modernize the industry.
